QUANTUM THREAT INTELLIGENCE
DARPA advanced Atom Computing, Diraq, IBM and IonQ to Stage C of its Quantum Benchmarking Initiative on October 7, 2026, joining Microsoft and PsiQuantum, so six teams now face government verification of whether their proposed systems can be built and operated as intended. The program asks whether any approach can reach utility scale operation by 2033. It is a milestone in a test program, not proof that a cryptographically relevant machine exists, but it keeps the planning horizon for long lived data inside the next decade.
Every advance in quantum computing shortens the window for migrating long lived infrastructure off quantum-vulnerable encryption, and data captured today can be decrypted later. Fabric Networks helps energy, government, telecom and community networks move to quantum-safe encryption on their own timeline, not an adversary's.
