Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 5, 2026. Last reviewed: October 5, 2026.

Fabric Networks Inc. ("Fabric", "we") is a Calgary, Alberta company. This policy explains what information we collect through fabricnetworks.ca and its mirror domain fabric-networks.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can reach us about it. It applies to the website only. Information we handle inside a client engagement, including network data observed during a Discovery Program, is governed by the agreement for that engagement, not by this page.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the contact form we ask for your first and last name, work email, company, and optionally your job title, industry, a rough count of sites in scope, what you are interested in, and a message. When you complete the Cryptographic Risk Check we record your answers to the nine questions together with your name, work email, organization and optionally your role. When you book a briefing through our calendar link, Google Calendar collects the name, email and time you provide; that booking is handled under Google's privacy policy and the appointment lands in our calendar. When you email us, we keep the email.

Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, the approximate region a visit comes from, device and browser type, how a visitor arrived (search, a link, or a campaign tag in the address), and events such as a form submission or a completed risk check. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to recognize repeat visits. We have not enabled Google Signals or advertising features, and we do not run advertising pixels on the site. Our hosting provider, Webflow, records standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested) to operate and secure the site.

What we do not collect. We do not ask for or store payment information, government identifiers or passwords on this site. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; the site is for organizations and the people who work in them.

Why we collect it

To answer you: a contact form or risk check submission tells us who you are and what you are asking, so we can reply, prepare for a scoping call and send a written scope when one is requested. To prepare: risk check answers let us arrive at a first conversation already knowing your sector, your equipment horizon and your regulatory exposure. To improve the site: analytics tells us which pages help and which do not. To meet our obligations: we keep records a business must keep, and we respond to lawful requests.

The legal basis under Canadian privacy law is your consent, given when you submit a form or continue to use the site, and our reasonable business purposes in responding to inquiries from organizations.

What we do with it, and do not

We use your information to respond to you, to prepare for and follow up on conversations you have asked for, and to keep our own records of who we have spoken with. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we stop.

We do not sell personal information. We do not rent, trade or share contact lists. We do not add you to a newsletter or marketing list unless you ask for one. We do not use form submissions to build advertising audiences.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run the site for us: Webflow (hosting and form storage, United States) and Google (Analytics, Calendar and Workspace email, United States and other regions). These providers process information on our instructions and under their own security commitments. Because they are outside Canada, information they hold may be subject to the laws of the country where it is stored.

Within a client engagement, information you submit may be shared with a technology partner only to the extent needed to scope or deliver work you have asked for, and under the confidentiality terms of that engagement.

We disclose information when the law requires it, for example in response to a court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Fabric or others.

How long we keep it

Form submissions and risk check results are kept while there is an active or reasonably expected conversation and for up to 24 months after our last contact, after which they are deleted from Webflow and from our mailbox, unless they have become part of a client engagement record, which follows the retention terms of that engagement. Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months, after which it is aggregated. Server logs are retained by Webflow for its operational period and are not kept by us.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. Form data is stored in Webflow's platform and delivered to a Fabric mailbox. Access to submissions is limited to the people at Fabric who respond to them. No website can promise perfect security; if we learn of a breach affecting your information we will notify you as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can read the site without submitting anything. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site still works, and analytics will not recognize you between visits. You can install Google's Analytics opt out browser add on.

Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, and in most cases to have it deleted or to withdraw consent to its use. Email info@fabricnetworks.ca with the subject line "Privacy request". We will confirm receipt within five business days and respond within the time the law allows, normally 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

When we change this page we update the effective date above and, for a change that affects how we use information already collected, we tell the people it affects by email. Earlier versions are available on request.
